A convicted murderer smiled as he was sentenced to life in prison for shooting a man dead in a playground in broad daylight during a botched drugs sale.
Deandre Bandy, 21, was jailed on Thursday for killing Justin Madaris, also 21, in front of parents and children at Over-the-Rhine play area in Cincinnati, Ohio, last April.
When Bandy was convicted of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery last month, he told the courtroom 'I'm glad he's dead'.
And at his sentencing on Thursday, he smiled as the judge slammed him for showing no remorse.

Bandy, who was wounded in the shooting, had been in the public play area to buy drugs with another man who has not been tracked down by police.
Madaris, a dealer, was there with his brother Daniel and Daniel's baby son, the jury heard.
According to Cincinnati.com, Bandy and his associate approached Madaris brandishing guns.
Daniel, clutching his son, knocked the associate's gun out of his hand, picked it up, and shot Bandy.
Bandy then fired at Madaris, killing him, the news site reports.
Bandy pleaded that he acted in self-defense.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Steve Martin said on Thursday: 'You're there on a public playground to buy drugs. The victim was on a public playground to sell drugs – none of this is good.
'But it didn't warrant a death sentence, which is what you gave him.
