Troops from the Nigeria Army have arrested two suspected
terrorists with arms and ammunitions in Kaduna village. The troops
arrested the suspects in Gidan Waya area of Jema’a local government area
of Kaduna State following a tip off.
A resident of the village, Barnabas alleged that the suspects have been responsible for the attacks and killings of villagers.
He told LEADERSHIP that the suspects were apprehended over the
weekend by the troops with support from members of the community, adding
that “this arrest is a new year gift to us in the community.”
Another resident, Joseph Sabo said, “I was there and saw the weapons
and ammunitions in the hands of Southern Kaduna attackers by the
Nigerian military at Gidan Waya Jama’a LGA.”
LEADERSHIP recalled that over 11,000 people in Southern Kaduna have been killed by terrorists’ attacks since 2011.
Meanwhile, the suspected terrorists were taken to an unknown location
by the troops who have been drafted to flash point in Southern Kaduna.
