Police assure of crime-free Yuletide

Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owosenri, has assured residents of the state that the police command has put measures in place to ensure a crime free Yuletide celebration.

The commissioner, who spoke at in an event tagged, “Nite out with chief security officers” organised by Brain and Brace group also urged residents of the state to support the police with useful information on criminal activities.
Owoseni noted that one of the major areas of focus was the airport, saying the force had received intelligent report about criminal activities in the road and would focus more attention on the airport road.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of Brains and Brace Group, Augusta Peter, tasked private security operatives to partner with state security to fight crimes.
According to her, “Security is not a personal thing, it is a general problem. The society is very tasking and therefore fighting crimes is not very easy. Therefore, I’m urging private security operatives to partner with state security to ensure that crimes are reduced to zero level.
“So it is very important that we come together to find a lasting solution to all these problems. Whether you like or not, we will help each in fighting insecurity. Security is not a one man business, it is a collective effort so when we come together like this, we can proffer a lasting solution to all that.”SOURCES
