WERE IS THAT CHILD RIGHT?
Most times everybody and every organization talk about human right while very few people talk about children right, does that that means that they are not as important as the adults whose right is highly protected and pronounced?
Go to any major street in Africa especially Nigeria you see many under ten children that are supposed to be in school selling sachet water, orange and other good at that may not worth one dollar.while some people have made it a business adventure by exploiting the little children by bringing them from village with heavy promise of sending them to school while using them for economics exploit and nothing happen as government will not punish such person so the exploitation case is gradually become legal
UNICEF gave out right which are supposed to be protect by all which are
(1) Right to to participate in decision that affect them
(2) Right to education
(3) Right to nationality
(4) Right to life
(5) Right to good health
(6) Right to adequate standard of living
(7) Every child have right not to be subjected to cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment
(8) Every child have right not to be exploit for economics reasons
(9) Birth right
(10) Right to be protected from hazardous or harmful work etc
Therefor, we expect the government at all level to start implementing the full right of every child in Africa and in Nigeria in particular by ensuring also that any body that abuse any of these UNICEF child right will be treated as a criminal and form a group that will be monitoring the children right as government policies are also monitored.
