Boy, 5, dies at primary school after choking on food during lunch break

A five-year-old boy has died after choking on his food during a primary school lunch break.
The foundation stage pupil is understood to have died after he started having difficulties
as he ate his lunch along with youngsters in the school lunch hall yesterday.It is understood the lunch hall was very busy and staff ushered pupils out of the room as attempts were made to help the boy, reports the Hull Daily Mail.
Paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service raced to Anlaby Primary School in Hull and tried to save the boy before he was rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary.
However, the boy, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Anlaby Primary head teacher Gareth May said: "The whole school community is deeply saddened by this tragic event and the thoughts of everyone connected with the school are with the child's family."
An inquest is expected to be held at Hull Coroner's Court to investigate the circumstances surrounding the boy's death.
Staff from East Riding Council are working with the school in First Lane to support staff and pupils as they cope with the death of one of their younger pupils.
A council spokesman said: "Very sadly, we have been informed that a foundation stage pupil at Anlaby Primary School has died.
"The council is offering close support to the school and to the child's family."One parent said: "Words cannot describe how awful this is. Everyone is just thinking about the family. It is so, so sad."
Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed they attended the school yesterday in an attempt to save the boy's life.
A spokeswoman said: "Following the tragic outcome, our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult time."
