Man released over murder of prison officer Adrian Ismay

A man who was arrested by detectives investigating the murder of prison officer Adrian Ismay has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The 40-year-old man was detained on Monday morning and was taken to PSNI’s Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning before he was freed.
Mr Ismay, 52, suffered serious leg injuries when a booby-trap bomb exploded under the van while he was driving in the east of the city in March last year.
He had been recovering, but died following a return to hospital 11 days later.
A 46-year-old man has already been charged in connection with the murder and is currently remanded in custody.
