Residents Protest To Assembly Over Police Harassment

Scores of residents of Lagos Island staged a protest to the State House of Assembly yesterday to register their grievances over alleged police harassment, intimidation, indiscriminate arrest and connivance with suspected hoodlums, who they said have been terrorising the area.
The leader of the protesters, Prince Adedamola Shonibare, said that the problem started in Lagos Island last year, when the assistant youth leader of the APC in Lagos Island.
Mr. Ashake was shot dead by suspected PDP agents, who they said were led by one Mr. Rafiu Bashorun aka Abija.
