The man, said to be in his mid-twenties, is accused of first grooming the girl online before the pair exchanged flirtatious text messages.
After she agreed to meet him in woodland, he allegedly threatened her verbally until she agreed to have sex with him.
The situation continued for three months until the girl, from Korneuburg near Vienna, told her parents what was going on. The man, who was reportedly living 25 miles away in an asylum hostel in Hollabruhn, was arrested and remains in custody.
A police spokesman said: “The accused did not use any violence, but he did threaten her and scared her into doing what he wanted.”
The news will do little to quell tensions between Europeans and migrants, which have been high ever since he Cologne New Year's Eve sex attacks in which up to 130 women were robbed and sexually assaulted by gangs of men, believed to be migrants.
